What is WORD MAGIC?
WORD MAGIC is the recognition of the vibrational energy carried by words in written, sung or spoken language. This somatic approach to words is the intuitive, felt gift of all great writers, poets, and musicians. By being present to the power of specific words and sounds, desired moods and inspiration enter our body, mind and spirit with specific medicinal energies. Whether chosen to heal, reveal, transform or simply enchant - words carry the magical alchemy of frequency, resonance and vibration into both our internal and external worlds.
When I published my first book of poetry in 2023, I was astonished to find how very powerful it felt to send my voice out into the world in book form. I felt I had crossed some critical threshold inside myself that was all about owning my own words. At the same time, my singing voice also gained clarity and strength! All things are connected… And I am excited to continue exploring word magic in poetry, song and spoken word.
The process of making the video on this page, “How To Write A Poem” gave me so much delight and child-like joy in painting my words with a newfound palette of images and music. I find that all of it together supports the experience of vibrational intelligence. I hope you enjoy it.
